As our community is responding to all the changes caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, I want to update everyone on what we are doing as the church.
I am very encouraged by the number of people who have taken time to reach out to our neighbors and church family. Our Sunday School leadership is connecting with their groups. One teacher is reaching out to their class by phone and text to offer encouragement and pray together. The church is alive and even though we are apart, God is still doing great things!
At the time of this writing, the message from Sunday has been viewed over 100 times. I am so thankful that God prepared us for online church. Online giving is being utilized as well. It’s easy to do – click here.
With new guidelines being issued by the state, we will once again be suspending all services and activities for another week. I am hopeful that we will be able to meet again in April. This Sunday, March 29th, the message will be available on Youtube at 11am. We will also schedule a “watch party” on Facebook. We will send out notifications later in the week.
One of the things that I miss is being able to share prayer needs together and carry those things to God in prayer. I have set up an email address (prayer@newfriendshipbc.org) and a page on the website for you to send your requests. I will compile the requests and send them out via our prayer chain by text and email on Thursdays. If you would like to receive these requests please let me know.
I also need your help. It is vitally important that we have your correct contact information. If you can, please update your information by following this link.
I was reminded by one of our members that I always close the service by saying, “you’re sent out.” I failed to do so Sunday. So let’s change it up a little.
Live sent!
